The 2016 season saw youth baseball return to Brighton. In a terrific first season for our youth program, over 40 children aged 6-14 years joined the club to attend practices and play games every week during the main season (between April and September) and had opportunities to play against other youth teams in the South East, including participation in national tournaments. The 2017 season has been bigger and better! Winter Training sessions started in October 2016, and Brighton’s minors (under 11s), majors (under 13s), and juniors (under 15s) have been competing in the British Baseball Federation Youth Super League, playing against clubs from across the southeast.
Practices and home games are held at our dedicated youth field at the club’s main complex at the Waterhall sports fields in Brighton, adjacent to the adult diamond.
We invite all children and teenagers to come and enjoy this fantastic sport — no experience needed. We currently hold practice sessions every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8pm (come to either or both) and play games every weekend through to the end of the school term. We would also welcome adults to assist with coaching. We are fully supported by the national baseball development agency, Baseball and Softball UK, and full training will be provided for any parents who would like to volunteer in this way.
